The Overbrook Foundation just wants to add a quick congratulations to Mallika Dutt. Dutt, the Executive Director of Breakthrough is being honored with the American Courage Award by the Asian American Justice Center, one of the nations leading civil rights organizations. This award goes out to an individual who has shown extraordinary courage or commitment to the cause of civil rights.
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 1st at the National Press Club in Washington D.C., with Congressman John Lews (D-GA) providing opening remarks. Anita Botti, the Deputy Director of the President’s International Women’s Initiative InterAgency Task Force, will present Dutt with the American Courage Award on behalf of Ambassador-at-Large, Melanne Verveer.
